Lindberg appointed Music Director of Israel NK Orchestra

Rated side by side with Israeli Philharmonic by the Israeli Ministry of Culture as the most important orchestra in the country  THE ISRAEL NK ORCHESTRA now embarks on its 46th season with Christian Lindberg as new Music Director. Previous directors were Avi Ostrovsky, Noam Sharif, Doron Salomon, Yaron Gottfried and Shaled Ad-El who built the orchestra in to a unit performing more than 120 concerts per year throughout Israel, but also an orchestra that regularly tours internationally, most recently in South America and China.
Christian Lindberg speaks out enthusiastically: ”Back in the 1980s Israel NK Orchestra was one of the first group to invite me as a soloist, and now almost 30 years later coming back as a conductor, it took less than ten minutes in to the first rehearsal for us to find each other. Therefore it was natural for me to accept when the manager Hila Dagan asked me to become their new music director”
